Steelers activate center Maurkice Pouncey from COVID/reserve list
The Pittsburgh Steelers activated center Maurkice Pouncey from the COVID/reserve list.
Pouncey's return will be a welcomed one for Week 14. The veteran only missed one game, but his absence was felt during the Steelers' first loss of the season; the team's running backs totaled just 21 rushing yards in Week 13 while the Washington Football Team's defense tallied up 5 tackles for a loss.
Pouncey is having a down year according to PFF's player grades, but has long been a solid center for the Steelers. His return should give a boost to the Steelers' backfield and could help give quarterback Ben Roethlisberger the time he needs in order to throw the ball further than his 6.2 intended air yards per attempt mark from Week 13.
