Giants' Collin Johnson out for season with torn Achilles
New York Giants wide receiver Collin Johnson has torn his right Achilles.
What It Means:
This happened in camp on Wednesday afternoon. It's a tough blow for Johnson, who seemed ready to get some decent playing time in his third NFL season. Now the Giants will be more dependent on the return of Sterling Shepard, who himself is coming off a torn Achilles last season.
In 12 games last season, Johnson had 11 catches on 21 targets for 105 yards.
