Cam Akers won't make Vikings' debut in Week 3
Minnesota Vikings running back Cam Akers will not make his team debut in Week 3 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Akers came over to Minnesota midweek after apparently falling out of favor with the Rams' coaching staff. While he figures to play a role with his new team at some point, that won't be in Week 3. Alexander Mattison and Ty Chandler will continue handling backfield duties.
In Week 1, Akers had 22 carries for 29 yards and a touchdown.
