Darnell Mooney, Falcons agree to contract
The Atlanta Falcons are signing wide receiver Darnell Mooney to a three-year contract, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
What It Means:
The deal is worth $39 million and includes $26 million in guarantees. Mooney should be the clear No. 2 receiver for Kirk Cousins, but he could be the fourth option in the passing game behind Drake London, Kyle Pitts, and Bijan Robinson.
Mooney caught 31 passes on 61 targets for 414 yards and 1 touchdown in 15 games last season. Among the 80 wideouts with at least 50 targets, he ranked 66th in Reception Net Expected Points per attempt.
