Packers believe Ty Montgomery can handle bigger workload
Green Bay Packers running back Ty Montgomery could handle 20 carries "if he had to," head coach Mike McCarthy said.
Montgomery is clearly the best option in Green Bay's backfield, but his touches have been limited. With James Starks (concussion) questionable for Week 15, Montgomery could be busy against the Chicago Bears, but don't expect a bellcow type of workload.
For now, our models believe Starks will play, but still rank Montgomery as the preferred fantasy option out of Green Bay's backfield. We project him to turn 7 touches into 42 total yards and 0.41 touchdowns.
