Rams to potentially reduce Todd Gurley's passing game usage in 2017
Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley may see a decreased role in the passing game this season, per ESPN Rams reporter Alden Gonzalez.
Todd Gurley had 43 receptions on 58 targets last season -- giving him an 11-percent market share of the Rams' targets. A decrease in work in the passing game for Gurley would likely mean that Lance Dunbar would see a significant number of targets under new head coach Sean McVay, and this would be a blow to Gurley's value in fantasy football.
21 running backs saw at least 50 targets last season, and Gurley ranked only 20th among them with 0.18 Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) per target.
