Ty Montgomery's rib injury may not be as serious as Green Bay thought
Green Bay Packers running back Ty Montgomery's rib injury is not a serious as initially thought with the back possibly playing in Week 5.
Green Bay initially though Montgomery would be out 2-to-4 weeks but after further tests, they are considering the running back day-to-day with a good chance he suits up in Week 5 versus the Dallas Cowboys. Even if Montgomery plays, he is likely to take on a lesser workload with rookie Aaron Jones earning increased snaps.
Montgomery has rushed 46 times for 152 yards and 2 touchdowns while adding 18 catches 129 yards and 1 score through the air in 4 games this season.
