nERD measures overall team efficiency. It is an estimate of expected goal difference against an average international team.

Total measures contribution toward total goals scored in a match. This is a combination of expected goals scored and expected goals allowed. By summing the total value for two teams, the result will be the expected goals scored in that matchup.
