17 | 12 | 204 | Javier Baez | 2B/SS | Peddle/Barry |
Let’s skip to Round 16. Peddle and Barry take Coco Crisp, who we now know needs a disabled list stint. Michael Cuddyer is interesting because we have no clue what being away from Coors Field for a whole season will do for his stats.
Matt van de Merlen takes Danny Santana, who can probably reach 30 steals, with the eighth pick in the 16th round, but I doubt Santana can provide any edge at the plate. And Gutjahr double-sniped me again with Gregory Polanco and Joc Pederson, both in reasonable spots.
Peddle and Barry again hit bad luck, as they take Javier Baez, who has since been sent down.
My picks: Michael Wacha, Pedro Alvarez, Khris Davis, Steven Souza, Dallas Keuchel
With these picks, I just focused on guys I am bullish on for this season. Alvarez and Davis are due for positive regression, Wacha and Keuchel came at good prices, and Souza dominated AAA so badly last season I’m excited for what he can do in the majors.
