Torrey Smith, WR, San Francisco 49ers

Torrey Smith had a rough start to the season with Blaine Gabbert at the helm in San Francisco, seeing fewer than five targets in three of his first five games. When Kaepernick replaced Gabbert in Week 6, though, Smith saw 7 targets, recording 3 receptions for 76 yards and 1 touchdown.

Kaepernick has been a much more efficient passer than Gabbert over his career -- if we look at seasons with at least 50 dropbacks, Kaepernick has three seasons with higher Passing NEP per drop back than Gabbert has ever posted -- and better quarterback play should mean better opportunities for Smith.

Smith also draws a good matchup this week, taking on a Bucs defense that our metrics have ranked 25th against the pass. Tampa Bay has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing wideouts.
