It’s a passing league, so we have to mention a quarterback in here somewhere, and California Golden Bears passer Davis Webb is our nominee. Webb has been an FBS nomad of sorts, bouncing from Texas Tech to almost Colorado and then Cal over his four years, but he’s finally made it to the doorstep of the pros.

Webb has three years as a starter in his college profile, and while his yards-per-attempt have dropped every year, he’s sustained a near-7.00 rate and a better-than 61.0 percent completion rate in each season while slashing his interception rate from 3.77 percent in 2014 to 1.94 percent this year. In 2016, Webb’s passer efficiency rating was 36th -- about average among the 59 quarterbacks to attempt at least 350 passes.

The big thing working in Webb’s favor is that the massive frame he has belies above-average athleticism that some team will fall in love with. Webb posted position-bests in every single workout he did at the Combine: 4.79 40-yard dash, 33-inch vertical, 9’10” broad jump, 4.21 short shuttle, and 6.92 three-cone.

Based on physical profile alone, Webb’s best comparables are Jason Campbell (97.21%), Zach Mettenberger (96.57%), and Blake Bortles (95.18%) -- high risk, high reward.
