Like the Williams running backs, there were two Taylor wide receivers at the Combine who both showed up well. We want to look at Taywan Taylor from the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, however, who appears to have some big-time upside.

Taylor picked up the third-most receiving yards among FBS receivers with at least 50 receptions this past year for the Hilltoppers, and still had a top-10 efficiency in yards per reception despite totaling 98 catches. Some might challenge his strength of schedule, but in his two games this year against FBS Power 5 conference teams (including one against Alabama) Taylor averaged 116.5 yards receiving -- the seventh-most among receivers.

Taylor showed the chops to thrive as a slot receiver in the pros, posting a position-best 6.57 three-cone drill while adding a 4.21 short shuttle -- impeccable agility. He also posted solid explosion scores, with a 4.50 40-yard dash, 33.5-inch vertical, and 11’0” broad jump. This kind of shifty profile is perfect for the high-volume slot role in the NFL.
