8 Big-Name Players You May Want to Avoid in Week 7
Marques Colston, WR, New Orleans Saints
Where one domino falls, so do many. I have two other Saints I'm already recommending you fade this week; let's add Marques Colston to the list.
The most recent iteration of Colston has been at his best not as the high volume possession receiver we've grown accustomed to seeing, but as a supplementary player who functions in a poor man's move tight end role. Basically, his greatest source of value has always been his catching and precise route running, but that is about all he has these days. Even those qualities are starting to wane, as Colston has just over a 50% catch rate, and currently ranks just 60th among all wide receivers in Reception NEP (46th on a per target basis). Without Jimmy Graham to offer a big threat as a possession man, expect the Lions to close off Colston quite easily.
The highest full-PPR total the Lions' secondary has surrendered to an opposing wide receiver this year is 16.4. They've allowed just two wide receiver touchdowns in 2014 as well. It's not a good week for Colston.
