DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football: Top Punt Plays for Week 8
Davante Adams, WR, Green Bay Packers ($3,500)
We profiled Davante Adams in this space last week, and he happened to score a short touchdown on his only target of the game. This was slightly disappointing considering Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers targeted Adams eight times the previous week, which was the second-most on the team.
I consider last week’s game against the Carolina Panthers to be a bit of an anomaly. Rodgers loved the matchup in the slot with Randall Cobb (6 catches, 121 yards, 1 touchdown) going against embattled safety Charles Godfrey, who actually got cut earlier this week.
The over/under for the Packers versus Saints game this week is continuing to rise, and now stands at a whopping 55.5 points. That means there will be plenty of scoring to go around. On top of that, the Saints are awful against wide receivers, giving up the second most fantasy points of all teams.
Adams also has a Reception NEP of 19.12, which is pretty impressive for a guy that’s only recently moved into a starting role. With teams keying on Jordy Nelson and Cobb so much, Adams should be in a good spot, and has the speed to score from just about anywhere on the field.
